    Description

Presented is a handsome set of 12 American large coin silver forks made by Jones, Ball & Poor, a predecessor to Shreve, Crump & Low. This firm was active between 1846 and 1853. The forks are done in a classic Fiddle pattern with a presentation to ‘E. W. Loring’ engraved on the back of each handle.
Each fork is marked on the reverse with Jones, Ball & Poor for the maker and Patent 1846. Tested and guaranteed to be 900 purity coin silver.
The condition is excellent. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The forks are 7 1/2 inches long. These forks are done in a large dinner size. It is hard to find a set of 12 coin silver dinner size olive pattern forks.
The weight is 629.4 grams or 22.1 ounces.
